Get married with the sand between your toes, overlooking Double Island Point and the Pacific. Some brides and grooms are choosing extreme weddings- you can skydive, paraglide or dive into your vows. A bonus for guests is that they can drive onto the beach- which means it is ideal for guests of all ages.
Our famous Coloured Sands extend for kilometres towards Double Island Point. With anglers dotted along the way and the odd 4WD. Tides were so low, it was excellent driving conditions along the beach.
The Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic is a fishing tournament that is open to all ages and gender, who are new or experienced at fishing, and for those who want to enjoy the experience of watching and participating in all the other activities.
Another beautiful day in Rainbow Beach – we finished it with walk to the sandblow. I guess the circuit took us about half and hour without stops, but it is difficult to visit the sandblow and not explore. Still a lovely time to visit- and certainly a great pre-dinner walk.
Beautiful blue skies and pleasant water temperatures: the kids spent a good hour damming some fresh water runouts until they spilled over.
The weather is mild, and there are always less visitors at this time of year in Rainbow Beach. Of course if you want to do something soon, book nowfor fantastic winter warmer beach holidays. Availability is still good and prices are great this time of year.
