7am. Not even low tide. Great beach access today – few rocks. Shells to collect. What a start to the school hols!
Rainbow Beach Aquatic Centre will be wonderful facility for locals and visitors alike! (Swim training for the locals, nippers competency and school’s learn to swim will be much more accessible!)
One lucky person has the chance to win a 1 1/2 hour group surf lesson for beginners – just for visiting the Rainbow Getaway facebook page. You can learn to surf in a safe, friendly environment with experienced coaches with over 25 years surfing in the area. “Rainbow is the last recognised Surfing beach heading North – so you can learn in the East Coast’s warmest waters,” says Sean. “We also boast the longest, safest wave in Australia.”
Join our own Getaway Amazing Race on your next visit. Remember car rallies of old, where you look for things, have to do things and have to pick up items as you go? Our team was driving all over town, out to Seary’s Creek up to the Sandblow and as far as Carlo Point to gather clues and answers. Next time you come and visit, grab your list from Judy and she will tell you your time limit. If you are holidaying with another family you can compete against them.
