One lucky person has the chance to win a 1 1/2 hour group surf lesson for beginners – just for visiting the Rainbow Getaway facebook page. As mentioned last month, Rainbow Beach Surf School owners Sean and Ty now have presence on the main street.
You can learn to surf in a safe, friendly environment with experienced coaches with over 25 years surfing in the area. “Rainbow is the last recognised Surfing beach heading North – so you can learn in the East Coast’s warmest waters,” says Sean. “We also boast the longest, safest wave in Australia.”
Plus they take photos – here’s our Daughter in Law on their last visit from Townsville. She said “If I can do it, anyone can!” and you can see by the smile on her face she and our grandson loved their first lesson.
Every day, they offer 2 Kayak with the Dolphins and 2 Surf Lessons (group or one on one). Sean tells us they have a 90% strike rate of seeing Dolphins – with up to 200 in one day! You can paddle with Manta Rays, Whales, Turtles, sting rays and schools of fish.
Their scenic beach drives take in the Coloured Sands and Lighthouse and departures are based on tidal and weather conditions. Plus now they provide one of the latest crazes which is gaining huge following in Australia – Kite Surfing.
