Fishing Report Tin Can Bay 17/01/2013

DSCF2547 (Small)The weather forecast for the week ahead looks fantastic with it being hard pressed to pick which day is better than the other.  The only possible standout day being Friday the 18th.  Light winds in the mornings before increasing to less than 10 knots in the afternoon.  Light winds early morning should offer almost glassed out conditions & should make it ideal to fish the open waters of the bay.

Area’s such as Teebar Ledge, Bluff Reef, Big Mick & the Channel between Inskip & Fraser being some of my picks for getting out chasing a few Mackerel & maybe even the odd Kingfish

Early morning low tides will make life difficult for those wanting to head up the creeks however areas like Bird Rock in Teebar Creek should be worth a shot around the bottom of the tide for a few School Jew.

While waiting for the tide to drop working the drop offs around where the water is running off the sand banks is also worth a try for Flathead.

Good luck & see you on the water.

Thanks Jim from Tin Can Bay Boat Hire.
