The Cooloola Coast is a great place to treat Mum, there really is something for every mum’s interest or wish. Often it is a last minute scramble for kids and partners to wrangle together a “thoughtful” present, here’s a list to help you:
Pamper –Serenity Beauty by Zaneta has recently extended their hours, and is now open 9am to 3pm Monday to Saturday and late Wednesday afternoon to 6pm. Especially for Mums, they offer a $90 microdermabrasion facial on special ($80 for 1 hour) in the month of May.
Massage – Rainbow Beach Massage have opened up a new retail range, so Mums can have more than a massage or meditation session – check out their incense, oracle cards, DVDs, sage, essential oils, salt lamps, books, and more.
Relax – whisk her away for the weekend or even midweek. If you know she is busy buy her an accommodation voucher, ready for when Mum chooses. Why not get a few generations together – it is so easy here to cater for family reunions.
Give Mum a night out of the kitchen – Rainbow Beach offers a BBQ on the deck, pizza in a piazza, the pub, and alfresco dining in tropical surrounds or head to Tin Can Bay for restaurants on the water – the Cooloola Coast has it all. Best of all – there’s no washing up!
Take her to the Straits – Hire a boat or kayak and head out fishing. What a fun family way to spend the day.
Handmade treasures – check out the new craft markets in Rainbow – from shawls, jewellery, ornaments and more you will find something for mum.
Gifts galore will be found in all the shops – from fruit baskets or a favourite tipple to the latest fashion and accessories. You’ll be sure to find something for Mum or grab a gift voucher.
Learn to Surf Mother’s Day is a great time to try something new – why not a surf lesson? Or book the whole family on a Surf and Sand Safari, a beach horseride or a kayak with the dolphins.
For the Active Mum – personal training, gym vouchers, yoga – all are available locally.
Walk for Breast Cancer – Head to Tin Can Bay Esplanade on Sunday 11th May and join lots of other mums and families to raise money to help save mums, grandmas, aunts and daughters.
